Is pantene proV the best conditioner and shampoo for African American hair to grow?

The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells awesome! They have different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, Albertsons, Kroger, Duane Reade, Safeway, Amazon.com, etc. You'll love it!

technically, it doesn't depend on what kind of shampoo/conditioner you use...though if you didn't know, pantene pro-v is kinda bad for your hair because it leaves gunk behind..and this goes the same for any kind of hair..for your hair to grow, keep it as healthy as possible, like drink water and stuff..and it helps a little if you trim just a little off the tips every 2-3 months to rid of the damage..hope this helps :)Is pantene proV the best conditioner and shampoo for African American hair to grow?
shampoo wont necessarily make your hair GROW. but it'll keep it clean and healthy FOR it to grow. but overall, yea, pantene is a good shampoo and conditioner for black people. but i don't use Pantene. i use Herbal Essences: Hello Hydration
try Dr. Miracles.. I've heard it is the best!
no
You can ask any hair-dresser and they'll tell you Pantene is a dirty word. No shampoo will make your hair grow faster. Take vitamins and limit the amount of heat tools you use on your hair - that'll help it grow faster! Growth comes from your scalp, not the hair itself. :)
My husband uses White Rain. I don't know if it's the shampoo, but his hair grows like grass. LOL
I don't find that it makes our hair manageble, you should probably try products like mazani or dudley they work wonders, ever Doogro works miracles, I am a living testomony of doo gro products, but there are different typesw of shampoo for different hair types,ex: thin, thick, damaged etc.., also take a look at infusion 23, it helps the breakage.
I don't use it because it makes my scalp itch. But I have heard a lot of Blacks use the product.
everyones giving you a good answer: proV doesn't help hair grow and shampoo doesn't really promote hair growth.

have you tried 'Motions' products? they make shampoos, conditioners, pomades, shine serums, oil sheens and a host of other products. their great for our hair type and so is 'Mane and Tail' shampoos and conditioners.

African Pride conditioning scalp oils and creams do it for me....makes my hair grow like weeds! I'd recommend them to anyone. they even have childrens' products that i use for my one year old!

clipping your ends once a month actually does promote hair growth and so does 'Dr. Miracle' hair products. they have specific serums for nape, edges and hair in general. i'm not sure if these products are sold in drug stores (rite aid, cvs), but i pick them up at my neighborhood 'beauty supply' stores.
