Which shampoo is better Pantene Pro-V or Herbal Essence?

I've noticed some bald spots on my head recently. I use Pantene Pro-V regularly although I used herbal essence for a month and it didn't make any real difference. Which one is better?

Also could the fact that I eat alot of sweets have anything to do with my bald spots?Which shampoo is better Pantene Pro-V or Herbal Essence?
I have had several hair salonists tell me that Pantene is the worst shampoo you can use on your hair. One told me to try leaving a hair sample in pantene, and it would ';eat'; the hair. I use Pert PlusWhich shampoo is better Pantene Pro-V or Herbal Essence?
Your personal chemistry will determine which one is best. What works on one person is not what works on another.

Sweets are pretty much 99% NOT causing hair loss, nor is your shampoo. If you are losing it in patches/clumps, you should see a doctor. You probably actually need a medicated shampoo. Both of the ones in question here are decent, but cheap. If you have a skin condition, they aren't going to do anything for you. You may even need medication taken internally for a problem like this (sounds wierd, I know, but true).

Remember that cheap shampoos (pantene, pert, suave etc) are exactly that, they are cheap. They WORK, but they aren't gonna make mericles. They are all going to leave residue/buildup. See a professional who can reccomend a WEEKLY or BIWEEKLY clenser to strip the gunk shampoo and conditioner leaves behind. They are all full of chemicals and crap- you may even want to visit your local health food store and find a more natural alternitive. Your hair is a natural thing, and NEARLY EVERYONES reacts better to these products, though they can be more expencive. Again, everyone has different Ph levels, and so you need to test a product on yourself before you know what's going to work.
Pantene Pro-V does indeed cause buildup of oils in your hair. However, I can't exactly explain the dry spots. Herbal Essences on the other hand, dries out your hair, some people say it makes their hair feel like ';straw';. I reccommend Garnier Fruitis, because it moisturizes your hair and doesn't cause oily buildup.
I am a hair dresser ,and in my proffesional oppinion, neither pantene or herbal essence will help with your balding spots on your scalp. pantene has wax in it, so it causes buildup. and herbal essences can dry your hair out. talk to your hairstylist about a product called Nioxin. it helps with thinning hair and it works!
Don't use Pantene cause it coats your hair with this wax and makes it feel silky and smooth but it actually damages it.

Herbal Essence has sulfates which dry out your hair if you use it too much.

Your gonna have to use something for those bald spots.
Definitely pantene... herbal essence is very crappy...

Also, my mom started getting bald spots and at that time she was using herbal essence... I would go to a doctor though... stress can be a major reason as to why you are getting bald spots
Sweets are causing the bald spots. Use herbal esscences its so much nicer and leaves your hair smelling really nice. Pantene Pro-V is said to be crap..
Herbal essences is much more pleasant.
garnier fructis the is best.

however, bald spots have nothing to do with shampoo, see a doctor
HERBAL ESSENCES!
